As part of her work as an educator engaged with early childhood development and learning Dr. Anna Kindler recently published a series of 10 books for young children with Early Childhood Learning (ECL) Publishing. The collection of 10 books, each featuring a unique animal character, was written to stimulate imagination, creative play and encourage self-directed as well as interactive activities for young children. The stories are lighthearted, as the animals explore the world, occasionally getting into mischief. Acts of Remembrance, Respect and Reconciling Dr. Lorrie Miller, Dr. Kerry Renwick, Dr. Shannon Leddy and Heather Clark invite all Teacher Candidates and FoE Faculty and Staff to participate in creating orange shirts to commemorate each of the Indigenous children who lost their lives at Indian Residential Schools. We also welcome participation by alumni and UBC community. The collected contributions will be installed in Scarfe as an ongoing act of remembrance and reconciling.
