Please join me in congratulating two recent EDCP PhD grads who will be receiving doctoral research awards at the National Art Education Association Annual Conference in New York City in early March!
Dr. Lee has won the Elliot Eisner Doctoral Research Award in Art Education and Dr. Smith has won the Runner Up for the same distinction!
This is quite remarkable to have not only one, but two UBC art education students recognized. Both were supervised by Dr. Rita Irwin. Dr. Lee’s committee members were Dr. Sandrine Han and Dr. William Pinar. Dr. Smith’s committee members were Dr. Karen Meyer and Dr. Kedrick James.
