Third Annual EDCP Graduate Student (EGS) Conference

Dear Education graduate students and faculty,

On behalf of the EGS Conference Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the third annual EDCP Graduate Student (EGS) Conference, which will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM in Scarfe building Room 1130. The conference is FREE, and light refreshments are included!

About the conference

EGS is an annual conference organized by students and for students from the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy (EDCP) in the Faculty of Education. We also welcome and encourage participation from all other departments within the Faculty of Education.

The conference serves the main purpose of showcasing the work undertaken by graduate students within the Faculty of Education in all its diversity of subjects and conceptual approaches to educational theory and practice. This event is also intended to provide a safe community space for participants to get feedback from peers and hands-on practice in preparation for other national and international conferences. This year’s theme is devoted to exploring the multifaceted aspects of educational experience through theory and practice.

We would be delighted to have you at the conference, as a presenter or audience member, to learn from what fellow researchers have to share about what interests them about education. We would also love to hear your thoughts and opinions before, during, and after the event.

Abstract submission

If you are interested in participating, please contact us and submit your abstracts to edcpgradpeeradvisor@gmail.com by Feb 15th, 2016. We welcome presentations in several formats, including art installations, poetry readings, performances, individual presentations, and panel discussions, among others.

Submissions should contain your contact information (name, program and email address), proposal format (paper, installation, panel, etc.), abstract title, as well as an abstract no longer than 400 words.

RSVP

For catering purposes, please RSVP before Feb 26th, 2016 to the following link: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/pa-team/edcp-graduate-student-conference/.

All participants and presenters are required to register for the conference.

We look forward to your confirmed presence at the EGS Conference.

3rd EGS Conference

Respectfully Yours,

EGS Organizing Committee
