Tetsuo Aoki Professorship in Curriculum Studies

Colleagues,

Please join me in congratulating Bill Pinar, Professor in EDCP, on his appointment as the Tetsuo Aoki Professor in Curriculum Studies, effective September 1, 2019.

The Tetsuo Aoki Professor in Curriculum Studies has a term of five years.  This honorary Professorship is established in memory of the late Tetsuo Aoki whose life-long work has significantly influenced and shaped this field of study.  Given Dr. Pinar’s longstanding leadership in the field of curriculum studies and interest in Dr. Aoki’s scholarship, it seems a natural fit that Dr. Pinar holds this Professorship and continues the important research work.

Please join me again in congratulating Bill on this honorary appointment.

Best, Samson.

Dr. Samson Nashon, EdD
Department Head & Professor of Science Education
