Short Bio
Dr. Stephanie Anderson is a post-doctoral scholar with the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. & M.Ed. in Curriculum and Pedagogy (The University of British Columbia) and a B. Ed. and B.A (Honours) in History and French (Queen’s University) and has over 20 years of experience teaching social studies throughout Canada. Dr. Anderson’s research interests center on the intersection of history education, museum studies, decolonization, and historical consciousness. She is published in national and international journals and is an accomplished presenter at both academic and teaching conferences. Dr. Anderson’s recent article for the Canadian Journal of Education received the R.W.B. Jackson Award for most outstanding 2017 English-language article. In September 2018, she was awarded the Emerging Scholar Award at the 11th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum, in Granada, Spain.
