Biography
Dr. Samuel Roscoe is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Business Education. He has 15 years of business experience in a variety of senior management roles. In one particularly challenging role, Dr. Roscoe served as a logistician for Médecins Sans Frontières in Liberia following the civil war, procuring medical supplies and building feeding centers for malnourished children. In Bucharest, Dr. Roscoe worked as a supply chain consultant, improving the operational processes of Romanian firms. While living in the UK, Dr. Roscoe managed Adidas’ distribution center for the London 2012 Olympics, importing goods from the Far East and distributing them to athletes. During his 10 years in academia, Dr. Roscoe has maintained an active research agenda, studying how digital technologies (3D printing, artificial intelligence, blockchain) are transforming global supply chains. He has published 27 peer-reviewed journal articles in leading outlets, including the Journal of Operations Management and Production and Operations Managementas well as the Journal of Product Innovation. His recent research on tariffs and trade wars has attracted media attention, with Dr. Roscoe appearing on CTV morning news, CBC the National, and Global News to discuss Donald Trump’s tariffs.
