I am a PhD student in Curriculum Studies at the University of British Columbia, in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy (EDCP), specializing in Curriculum. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I worked as a public-school science teacher and completed an MA in Education at Fluminense Federal University. My research interests include critical pedagogy and theory, narrative research, and teacher professionalism. My research focuses on how teachers resist neoliberal educational reforms and imposed notions of teacher professionalism. I am especially interested in the role of narrative in the conceptualization of teachers’ professional identity.
