National Physical and Health Education (PHE) Canada National Conference 2026

PHE Canada Event Week | April 29 – May 2, 2026 | Sheraton Wall Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia

PHE Canada Event Week 2026 brings together three national events — the 2026 Healthy Schools Summit, the 2026 PHE Canada Research Forum, and the 2026 PHE National Conference — into one unforgettable week of learning, networking, and collaboration, all happening in the heart of Vancouver.

The 2026 National Physical and Health Education (PHE) Canada Conference (April 29–May 2, Vancouver) is built around the theme “Together We Rise,” bringing educators, researchers, and school leaders together to strengthen student wellbeing and advance healthier learning environments across Canada. Faculty and graduate students from UBC’s Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy (EDCP), particularly within the Health, Outdoor, and Physical Education program area, will be actively involved through research presentations, workshops, and national leadership in partnership with PHE Canada. UBC EDCP will also host the Thinkers’ Gathering on April 30, 2026—an invited forum that convenes leaders from post-secondary, public health, and K–12 sectors to examine pressing issues and future directions in Physical and Health Education. This year’s Thinkers’ Gathering will be led by Dr. LeAnne Petherick, with insights shared nationally through the PHE Canada Journal.
