Biography
Dr. Adler graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) two-year elementary programme. His experiences both within and outside the classroom prompted him to pursue a MA and PhD in Science Education at UBC. Dr. Adler’s expertise is in K-12 teacher education, and he teaches elementary science methods and secondary science Inquiry seminars. Dr. Adler teaches a number of graduate courses with a focus on research methodologies and methods. While he is in science education he does not see the label as a border not to be crossed.

Research Projects
I just completed a grant funded science lab renovation. I learned much on how to buy classroom and office chairs that are functional, durable and comfortable through the art of listening to users.
Students Supervised
To date I have supervised, co-supervised and or served as a committee member for over 42 graduate students (PhD, MA and MEd).
I only supervise students considering/enroled in the Masters in Education (MEd) as this is a professional degree. If you are looking for a research supervisor please consult: https://www.grad.ubc.ca/prospective-students/research-supervisors.
Courses Taught
To date I have taught 18 different courses comprising over 60 sections and amassed over 520 teaching credits.
