To enthusiasts across all disciplines:
Join us for “Undisciplined Conversations,” a dynamic space for transdisciplinary dialogues between the arts, education, and beyond.
‘Undisciplined Conversations,’ a dynamic space for transdisciplinary dialogues between the arts, educaon and beyond, will take place monthly in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy. Join us for conversaon and light refreshments as we host invited guests who foster diverse research perspecves and invite co-creaon beyond our immediate disciplines. The nature of conversaon is informal as we share in making vibrant ecosystems of learning together. Let us welcome a diverse community of scholars to enrich our educaonal discourses.
In March we will host Dr. Trish Osler, Dr. Peter Gouzouasis, and Dr. Liane Gabora: distinguished scholars, practitioners, and researchers as invited speakers. They will share their extensive research subjects, offering insights into contemporary issues and inspiring meaningful conversations, making this event a unique opportunity for intellectual exploration and cross-disciplinary dialogue.
Together, we will collaborate on conversations about creavity and explore various perspectives from different fields of study. The discussion will focus on the intersecon of art, neuroscience, psychology, music, and educaon, and will go beyond tradional boundaries. By engaging speakers with different perspecves, the iniave aims to promote innovave thinking and challenge convenonal wisdom. Ultimately, it seeks to prompt a reconsideration of how we approach creativity in contemporary learning contexts.
To join us for this NABER (Network of Arts-Based Educational Researchers) event, please reach out to Dr. Elly Yazdanpanah, Post-Doctoral Fellow (NFRF), Art Education, Faculty of Education, or feel free to drop in on March 6th, Wednesday, Scarfe Room 2414 (Staff/Grad Student Lounge) at 2:00 PM
