Drop-in art workshops

You are invited to join weekly art workshops every Tuesday with Isabel Carneiro, our visiting scholar from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is an opportunity to make art together and share in artful conversations.

Drop-in to Scarfe 1128, 2:00-4:00 p.m., every Tuesday, starting October 7th

Workshop 1: 365 Days – Diary Artists

This workshop will explore how as artists, researchers and teachers, we can engage in a daily practice of making. We will discuss a host of artists and artistic processes to create our own engagements, programmes, methods, disciplines and goals, as well as respond to daily tasks, inventories, and systems. One day after another. Enumeration and listing of artmaking activities are action programmes that constitute daily tasks and this approach will guide us in each workshop. Come and share your vision!

You will be invited to share details of your artistic processes and complete short weekly exercises based on daily experiences.

Submitted by Dr. Isabel Carneiro, EDCP Visiting Faculty.
