Dr. David Anderson Receives the Ohori Satoshi Memorial Award from Japan Museum Management Academy

Please join me in congratulating Dr. David Anderson on his receiving the Ohori Satoshi Memorial Award for Development of Museum Management, from Japan Museum Management Academy (JMMA). The award was presented at the annual conference of JMMA, June 4-5, 2022.

The Ohori Satoshi Memorial Award is given annually by JMMA (Japan’s National museum Academy) to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of museum management in Japan.

The 2022 award was made to Dr. Anderson in recognition and honor of his extensive work and research on Long-term Memories of Museum Experiences over many years, which have contributed significantly to developing the museum management in Japan.

This award is a great testimony to the international impact of Dr. Anderson’s work, affecting museums not only in Japan, but across the world.
