The Graduate Program in Arts at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and the Art, Criticism, Creation research line invite everyone to a conversation on (un)methodological approaches in artistic and pedagogical practices.
In this conversation with professors Dr. Anita Sinner and Dr. Marie-France Berard, we will expand on the notions of method in the search for more (un)methodological approaches in artistic and pedagogical practices. We propose a kind of (non)methodological pedagogical inversion in relation to traditional frameworks that operate in a normative way. Instead of understanding art education and the learning process through prescriptive lenses, which “pedagogize” based on their epistemological structures, we wish to focus on the search for more transgressive methodologies.
