UBC Centennial Math for Parents and Kids Workshop

On Saturday, November 21, 2015, I was invited to lead a special workshop “Math for Parents and Teachers”. This event was a part of the celebrating UBC Centennial: https://cstudies.ubc.ca/courses/math-kids-parents-workshop/up893 and was open to the public. It went very well – with more than 100 people in attendance. For almost three hours they were actively engaged in doing mathematics, sharing their ideas, arguing with each other and rediscovering mathematics ideas for themselves. And some of them even weren’t ready to leave after almost 3 hours during a beautiful sunny fall day. I would also like to extend sincere thanks to our graduate student Kwesi Yaro who came to help out with the event.
