Puti Hassanah

Hi there! I am Puti, and I am a second-year Master of Arts (MA) student in Health, Outdoor, and Physical Education. I have a deep love for sports and outdoor activities, which drive my academic and personal interests. My research focuses on curriculum evaluation and development, particularly in the field of physical and health education. As a Peer Advisor, I am excited to share my experiences and support fellow students in achieving their academic and personal goals. I look forward to connecting with you and helping to foster a vibrant and active community.
Ariane Faria dos Santos
PhD Student
September 2023 – November 2024
Ariane Faria is a PhD student in Curriculum Studies Education. She holds a Master’s in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University (USA) and another in Education from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). She also has a bachelor’s and Teacher Credential in Philosophy from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Her research interests include math classroom practice and curriculum implementation to improve opportunities to learn for students with different backgrounds. She is particularly interested to understand how learning studies and variation theory can support British Columbia math teachers make decisions in the specific context of their classroom practices. She hopes her research can better connect both micro (classroom/schools) and macro (policymakers) actors to design and implement more equitable curriculum policies.
Mohosina Jabin Toma
PhD Student
August 2024 – April 2025
Mohosina is a Ph.D. student in Curriculum Studies with a concentration on Science Education. She holds an M.A. degree from EDCP at the University of British Columbia. She obtained her B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, her home country. Her research interests include pedagogies in STEM education and educational technologies. At EDCP, she has contributed to revitalizing the EDCP website and has been actively involved in the David F. Robitaille STEM Network project over the past year. In addition to her academic interests, she is also passionate about sports. She received the “Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund Gold Medal” from the University of Dhaka in recognition of her academic and sports achievements.
Manisha Tripathy
MA Student

Manisha Tripathy is a MA Art Education candidate with a passion for integrating creative practice into educational settings. With a background in a/r/tography, Manisha is dedicated to exploring the intersections of art, research, and teaching. As a peer advisor, she is committed to providing encouragement and support, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Akaash Virk
MEd Student
August 2024 – April 2025
Akaash is a master’s student in Curriculum Studies from Punjab, India. She received her BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics from Delhi University, India, and later completed her BEd degree from GGSIPU, India. She began her professional career as an English teacher in India and now works as a Child Care Support Worker in Vancouver. With over seven years of experience in Education, her research interests lie in the Sociology of Education. She enjoys connecting with new people and spending time with them.
