Lingering with Love & Loss | Remembering Carl Leggo
November 15th, 1953 – March 7th, 2019
On Thursday, March 28th, 2019 many in the Faculty of Education, across campus and community gathered at The University of British Columbia to share in an evening of memories, poems, music, stories and tributes to a poet, professor, colleague, beloved teacher, and inspiration to all of us, Dr. Carl Leggo. Carl passed away earlier that month – on March 7th.
The writing from this day of gathering, is offered on the pages of Lingering with Love and Loss. It is an intimate portrayal of the love felt for Carl. This book was made for Carl’s family. It is their gift to us that we share this collection. Carl’s birthday was November, 15, 1953. We are grateful to share these pages marking the anniversary of his birth. His work continues to be a legacy of life giving creativity.
