To enthusiasts across all disciplines:
Join us for “Undisciplined Conversations,” a dynamic space for transdisciplinary dialogues between the arts, education, and beyond.
Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 | Multipurpose Room, Ponderosa Commons North, PCN 2012 | 2:00 P.M.
Undisciplined Conversations is a dynamic space for transdisciplinary dialogues bridging the arts, education, and beyond, organized by the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy in collaboration with the Department of Language and Literacy Education. We will host invited guests who foster diverse research perspectives and encourage our co-creation beyond our immediate disciplines and academic environments. These informal conversations contribute to vibrant ecosystems of learning together. Let us welcome a diverse community of scholars to enrich our educational discourses.
For our December event, we are pleased to host Professor Joelle Aden, Dr. Chris Summers, and Cory Haas-distinguished scholars, practitioners, and researchers-who will share their insights on theater and drama inquiry. Through their expertise, we will explore contemporary issues and inspire meaningful conversations, making this event a unique opportunity for intellectual exploration and transdisciplinary dialogue.
Together, we will delve into the rich possibilities of theater and drama inquiry to broaden educational practice and highlight how these art practices can transcend conventional academic boundaries, fostering innovative approaches to creativity, contemplative practice, and transdisciplinary research in today’s educational landscape. Join us as we explore these pathways to enrich our understanding and practice across fields.
We encourage you to join us in person for Undisciplined Conversations to fully engage in the discussions and networking opportunities. If attending in person is not possible, you are welcome to join virtually. For the meeting link or any other inquiries, please reach out to Dr. Elly Yazdanpanah, Post-Doctoral Fellow (NFRF), Art Education, Faculty of Education,
