Why EDCP

What is EDCP?

In EDCP, our notion of education is a broad one. Our faculty members are specialists in all the curriculum areas, but we’re also interested in learning more broadly—across the lifespan and in every sort of educational setting, formal and informal. The study of education is complex, multi-faceted, and ever changing. That’s why our graduate programs are dynamic and flexible, allowing you to customize a program that perfectly suits your needs. In addition to curriculum areas such as mathematics education and art education, our offerings are complemented by a range of interdisciplinary areas such as curriculum theory and design, complexity science and education, and digital media and learning technologies. No matter what your educational interest, there’s a place for you in EDCP.

Why UBC?

As if our roster world class faculty members were not enough, UBC also offers a world class campus: close to mountains, ocean, ski hills, hiking trails, and the best outdoor adventures around. The university boasts some of the city’s best attractions & recreation facilities, including the Museum of Anthropology, the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research, and endless opportunities to explore forested trails in the adjoining 763-hectare Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
