Curriculum and Pedagogy in Higher Education and Futsal Contexts
The research and practice of Dr. Harry Hubball, Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Pedagogy, focus on the scholarship of curriculum and pedagogy in higher education and futsal contexts. In 1998, for example, he developed the 8-month UBC Faculty Certificate on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: SoTL Leadership Program. Harry is Co-Chair of this program which has since graduated over 250 faculty members from UBC, Canadian and International universities. Harry is a recipient of a 3M National Teaching Fellowship and the UBC Killam Teaching Award. He is also the Convenor for the Multi-national Teaching Fellows Research Group within the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Harry has assisted universities, faculties and multidisciplinary units all over the world with scholarly approaches to undergraduate degree program reform.

In 1999, he also developed the INTER UBC Futsal Soccer Academy Program. Through action research and learning-centred approaches to team and player development, this program has contributed to two World Cup winning trophies for a select Canadian futsal team in the Bi-ennial Universities Masters/Veterans 6-a-side World Cup (12 Nations) Football Tournament held in Europe.

Harry has published articles and has been invited to present research seminars and workshops at a wide range of national and International universities.
Presenting the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) at the University of Dubai
