One of the world's foremost scholars of cultural and media studies, Shirley is teaching CUST 562 (Introduction to Curriculum Theory and Issues) for EDCP this summer. She is Associate Professor at McGill University in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education, where with Joe Kincheloe, she established The Paulo and Nita Freire International Project for Critical Pedagogy.
